Is the lyric about athletes being naked in the locker room sexist or just the latest celebrity dig at overzealous social justice warriors?
Vinay Menon: Kid Rock rages at snowflakes in new song, unaware he’s the biggest snowflake of all
The lyrics to Kid Rock’s new song, The Party Ain’t Over, include references to a sweaty championship game where athletes are naked in the locker room (“Tits swell with victory / Bareback in bed listening to a lady ’til four in the morning”) and sets the record straight about why Jesus wore a crown of thorns.
The song is almost three minutes long and, during a brief stream of consciousness break midway through the song, the Detroit rapper returns to a slam-dunk analogy of such weight and magnitude that Kid Rock barely needs any introduction.
The medley of the best lines from the song can be seen below:
“If your next generation melts away the giant it held / You know damn well that the Greatest Generation would burn a crib down if it meant ass kicking their contemporaries, only their contemporaries / The greatest generation they called it with their names on the f-ing side of it.”
“Hey Dad, a black man can rule as long as he’s not radioactive”
“In the heat of the passion, you guys on ice lost your minds / And I just want to say what you all already know, but God bless you for it / What color is Santa?
“Dad, I hope you know Jesus was our white Uncle Sam / He wore thorns and was on all the time, and that was just the way he was.”
“When your heroes save you, get your clutch back.”
“In the heat of the season, you let the microscope follow the winner.”
“Tits swell with victory / Bareback in bed listening to a lady until four in the morning.”
