A collaboration between the Museum of Jewish Heritage and Academy of Art University

Chess Against the Humanoids and the Barbarians are currently featured in the education programme N.Y.U. Skirball Season, first presented on Atlantic Broadband in March.

Created by the Museum of Jewish Heritage in collaboration with the Academy of Art University, N.Y.U. Skirball Season will expand to a four-week season of hands-on programs in autumn 2018. Additional programming for the fall includes TechPowernerds, YouthX, Meaningful Students and the Art Mosaic.

After a successful initial season, the multi-faith, multi-generational program will open its doors in full for the fall semester, starting in September. Guests are welcome to attend the Skirball season for free, provided they register in advance. Subscriptions to the 2018-2019 season are $30 (students, $75) and student memberships are $15 (students). All N.Y.U. Skirball Season programming and registration information are available at www.nysymphonyscope.org.

The season kicks off with a lecture by bestselling New York Times best-selling author Gary Taubes on Monday, September 10, at 6:30 pm. Taubes, a science journalist and general knowledge connoisseur, will lead guests in a discussion about the science behind modern Super Heroes.
